All students are welcome to exchange books and visit the library at any available time on any day.
Students must return their books at their next library class. Books must be returned before new ones are taken out. Please check to see that your child is bringing home new books each and every week. It is so important to set good reading habits and learn the love of reading at this early age. Your support and encouragement now is crucial to your child's development as a life long reader and learner.

If your child can not find his/her library book, please send a note indicating your awareness of this while the search continues. This note allows your child to continue to take out new books. If the book is not located or is damaged, you will receive a notice as to the replacement of that item.

Students are encouraged to use the "five finger rule" in selecting materials that suit their needs and interests. This self-administered guideline has the student open to a page and read. For each word that is not known or understood, a finger goes up.
0 - 1 finger... too easy
2 - 3 fingers...just right
4 - 5 fingers...may be too hard

Remember - what was once too hard may now be too easy and today's too hard will soon be just right!
